Run4Orphans is a charity ministry that supports orphanages and work established by Light and Love Home, an affiliated non-profit orphan charity group. Objectives of the charity are to provide education, a home, counseling services and meals to children and the poor. We started to raise fund for orphans in 2009. We have raised about $4,000 in 2009, $18,250 in 2010.
In 2012, we have a new initiative – 1000 Miles for the Poor. Our goal is for the team of runners to run a total of 1000 miles of races in 2012 and to raise $30,000. 80% of the fund raised will give direct to support orphanages managed by Light and Love Home. 20 % of the raised fund will be used to help local community in Oakland, CA, where the Church of God in Oakland locates.
